hey man. well as far as germany is concerned it's just that germany is full of abstract-art shit all over the place. Germany art-scene is a joke since it seems that every 3 year old kid can mash some paint onto a canvas and make a million bucks with it.
as far as my school is concerned ( www.rsak.de). I can say that IT SAYS that it is a school teaching realistic art, and probably it does. but first the standart is really really REALLY low, probably because you don't even need a portfolio to be allowed to study there. Moreover its a school which (for some fucking reason....god how I hate it :D ) decided that it's a clever idea to have 21 (!!!) subjects, making you have each subject for 2 hours A WEEK, claiming that this is necesssary so that the student's get a solid foundation in everything lol. I am sure that you can imagine how effective it is to practice everything for two hours a week.
I personally keep on studying there to get the financial aid from the state so that i can pay my bills and hope to be able to do enough freelance work after my "one year"-challenge, so that I can leave this goddamn place :D
